TIMEFORM does not have specific time-based ratings for the Australian challengers Brazen Beau and Wandjina for today’s Diamond Jubilee Stakes, but everything that is known about the pair suggests they are well up to mixing it with the best that Britain and Ireland can offer.

Brazen Beau, in particular, looks cut from similar cloth to some of the great Australian sprinters to have raided Royal Ascot in recent years. On a day which could again feature a number of epic battles, the Hardwicke Stakes looks a rare treat. As mentioned last week, Telescope and Eagle Top have good times to their names. But it is Postponed who really catches the eye in that regard. The Luca Cumani-trained colt posted a 125 timefigure the last time he encountered top of the ground and a well-run race, in winning the Great Voltigeur Stakes at York last August, and he could lay down another marker if facing similar here.
