THE Saturday just gone proved a bonanza for the unstoppable Willie Mullins, in Britain as well as in Ireland. Black Hercules and Thomas Hobson gained him good victories at Warwick, while Sempre Medici and Roi Des Francs weighed in with wins at Naas.

In time terms, Black Hercules achieved the most, returning a figure of 149 in giving weight and a beating to the useful Definitly Red, despite the closing sectional (one of the fastest at the course recently) showing that this was not quite the slog that might have been expected.
