LANAKEN – From September 22nd-26th, Domain Zangersheide will once again be the stage of the world’s finest bred and most talented five-, six-, and seven-year-old jumping horses. The event will also host the FEI Sires of the World, the Belgian Jumping Championship, and the renowned Quality Auction.

The FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses will showcase a selection of the best performing youngsters from all over the globe. And the show jumping world is buzzing with excitement to come together in Lanaken to celebrate the development of the sport and breeding especially after last year’s event could not take place.

A selection of the top ranked five-year-olds from two years ago are due to compete such as now seven-year-old Kannan-offspring Opium JW van de Moerhoeve TN (Willem Greve) and AES-mare Jicarla T (by Caretino Gold). Stephex Stables is also well-represented with the seven-year-old Belgian champion Odina van Klapscheut (Petronella Andersson) and vice- champion Takotak Z (Kendra Brinkop), a daughter of Telstar de la Pomme out of Narcotique de Muze from the breeding yard of Stephan Conter.

They will compete against Koen Vereecke and his seven-year-old Bonfois van 't Hof v Eversem Z (by Bisquet Balou), the winner of the Z Ranking. With Bonfois winning no less than 16 international classes this year. Also, in the six-year-olds expectations are high with the Dutch champion, KWPN-mare Kwik Feet (by For Pleasure), and the Belgian champion Hadewyn Van ‘T Ravennest (by Comme Il Faut) in attendance.

Next to the Championship for Young Horses, the schedule is filled more highlights such as the FEI Sires of the World class.

Also, the best of the Belgian show jumping world will take on the challenge to win the Belgian senior jumping championship title. Next to rising starts and established jumpers, the event will also showcase two Zangersheide Quality Auctions with a selection of promising foals that will surely impress.

The organisation prioritizes the safety of all the attendees and therefor the event will be organised in a Covid-19 proof fashion. This means that everyone is very welcome join the event in Lanaken but only with a Covid-certificate, PCR-test or proof of recovery.
