RODRIGO Pessoa has named the Irish show jumping team for Thursday's five-star Mercedes-Benz German Nations Cup in Aachen.

Thursday's competition will be the second of three Nations Cups in three weeks for Rodrigo Pessoa’s Irish team.

Ireland has been drawn as the third team to jump in tomorrow’s Nations Cup action.

The Irish team for the Mercedes-Benz German Nations Cup in Aachen is as follows:

Cork’s Shane Sweetnam with Chaqui Z – owned by Spy Coast Farm LLC

Offaly’s Darragh Kenny with Babalou – owned by Jack Snyder

Mayo’s Cameron Hanley with Quirex – owned by Patrick Mielnik

Meath’s Cian O’Connor with Good Luck – owned by Ronnoco Jump LTD

Speaking about tomorrow's Nations Cup, Ireland's Senior Show Jumping High Performance Director, Rodrigo Pessoa said: “Aachen is not a counting Nations Cup in Europe Division 1 but it is a very important show, all the horses are jumping well here and we will be hoping for a good result.”
