JUNIOR rider Taylor Peare, riding her family-owned Lissyegan Geoffrey, won the 1.30m two-phase when the pair saw off stiff competition from the 43-strong field at Barnadown.

Lissyegan Geoffrey is a 12-year-old gelding owned by Pat Peare. He is by Hermes De Reve out of Woodbank Shiraz, by Captain Clover. The pair stopped the clock in a fast time of 26.94 to secure the victory.

Gemma Phelan guided James Noonan’s Cullinagh UG (West Coast Cavalier - Buster King) into second place when they broke the finish beams in 27.23. Third went to Vincent Byrne riding Kayleigh Soden’s eight-year-old Jackson Vive (Cardento - Numero Uno). They recorded a jump-off time of 27.62.

Young rider Trudie Hermione McCoosh and the eight-year-old mare by OBOS Quality TMSH Lady Majella slotted into fourth in 27.96, while Jason Higgins and another eight-year-old, this time by Big Star Jr K Z, Balanda Star K Z were fifth in 29.82.

Dermott Lennon and his own eight-year-old gelding Ugadi Hero Z, by Udancer Hero out of Lennon’s World Equestrian Games gold medal-winning mount Liscalgot, slotted into sixth place.
