A BRILLIANT performance from Ireland’s Darragh Kenny and the Ann Thompson-owned Balou du Reventon, saw them score a superb runner-up finish in today’s (Saturday) five-star Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix at Shanghai in China.

Nine combinations made it though to the jump-off and Kenny raced into the lead when third to go against the clock – jumping clear in 38.06 seconds. That looked like being good enough to take victory, however Israel’s Danielle Goldstein and Lizziemary shaved 800ths of a second off the target when second last to go, to take the winner's prize.

Dutch rider Jur Vrieling filled third spot on the podium with Glasgow van ‘t Merelsnest after also jumping clear in 40.63.
