on 26 May 2019
Smyth and Mulvin Lui produced the faster of just two double-clear rounds to take the top honours

CO Tyrone’s Jonathan Smyth and the Noletta Smyth & Roy Craig-owned Mulvin Lui won Sunday's third round of the TRM/Horse Sport Ireland New Heights Champions Series at Ballinasloe in Co Galway.

One of just two double clear rounds to emerge from the 29 starters, Smyth crossed the line in 41.37 seconds to take a commanding win by over four seconds.

Kilkenny’s Seamus Hughes Kennedy and Louis D’Or were the only other combination to jump double clear to take runner-up spot in 45.58.

Michael Pender and Casanova Van Overis Z produced the fastest four-fault round in 38.52 to finish third. Elizabeth Power and Doonaveeragh O One finished fourth, while Francis Connors finished fifth with Erne Lady Goldilocks, just ahead of Tholm Keane with BMH Big Time in sixth.

The next round of the TRM/Horse Sport Ireland New Heights Champions Series takes place at Galway County Show on June 16th.
