CLARE’s Daren Hopkins and Latte Macchiato emerged victorious in the Pettitt’s novice class at Bannow & Rathdangan last Thursday, crossing the line clear in 32.17 seconds. Bred by Michael Kelly and owned by Ballywalter Stables, the six-year-old gelding is by Pacino and out of the Boherdeal Clover-sired dam Torboy Lady. This is the second good recent result for this pair having finished second in five/six-year-olds in River Lodge Equestrian, and before this, they claimed the runner-up class in the ISH Studbook series at Barnadown.

Hopkins also took second place with Orlando LV, clear in 32.64. Owned by Ballywalter Stables, the five-year-old Belgian-bred is by Vigo d’Arsouilles out of Tessa B.
