THERE seems to be no stopping Kevin Gallagher as he took the honours in the final round of the Horse Sport Ireland 1.50m Premier Series final at Portmore last Sunday aboard Ballypatrick Flamenco. This is the second major victory for the Sligo rider who also claimed the Irish Breeders’ Classic in Barnadown the previous week.

Delighted with the taking the final win, Kevin Gallagher said: “It has been a great few weeks for Ballypatrick Stables and it is down to the training program that we have in place. It’s great to see our hard work paying off. Ballypatrick Flamenco had been moving up through the series. In the first round, we finished just outside the top placing, we finished third in the round at Mullingar and we were just unlucky in Balmoral with a fence down. The plan at the start of the season was to try and secured the national title, I finished just one point behind Geoff Curran for the title, but I couldn’t do any more.”
