THE five- and six-year-old class at the second qualifier for the Avonmore Summer Classic at River Lodge Equestrian on Thursday was the best supported class of the day with 62 lining out. Victory eventually went to Jim Donohoe with Rachel Acton’s five-year-old mare Kiltubrid McCoy, by OBOS Quality 004 out of Kiltubrid Jewel (Shannondale Sarco St Ghyvan), who was bred by Marian Tighe.

Posting a jump-off time of 34.95, the pair proved best of the 26 who managed to keep a clean sheet through both phases. The runner-up spot went to young rider Robyn Moran aboard Cushlas Fryday. They stopped the clock just slightly slower at 35.01.
