THE Mervue Equine Leinster Summer Tour moved to Wexford Equestrian last Sunday with each division attracting a good following. With the tour coming towards an end, riders were out in force in a bid to clock up extra points.

Victory in the 1.35m division stayed local as Jason Higgins and Dondoctro Ryal K took the win, when they were fastest of just five double clears 39.13 seconds. This combination has been moving up the overall leader board, having claimed third place in the round at Inistioge. Owned by Cynthia Murphy, the 12-year-old Dutch bred stallion is by Indoctro out of the Ahorn-sired Toverfee S. Prior to Higgins taking over the ride of the stallion, he was campaigned with much success by Jason Foley and Ger O’Neill, competing up to 1.50m on the national circuit. The stallion boasts an impressive record sheet with almost 400 show jumping points to his name.
