SUNDAY proved to be a fantastic day for breeder Ann Gannon Clancy. Not only did AHG Whiterock Cruise Down win the Premier Grand Prix, but another one of her home-breds, AHG Whiterock Duggie, topped the billing in the five-year-old final.

By Ard VDL Douglas and out of Raheenwood Cruise (Raheenwood Ginger), AHG Whiterock Duggie is owned by Joseph M Sharkey and was ridden by young rider Cora Sharkey. Thirteen of the 20 starters managed to keep a clean sheet over the two rounds. A second round time of 41.03 saw the pair take the top-spot by a margin of almost three seconds from runner-up Francis Derwin Jnr riding his father Francis’ Premier Dreamer in 43.97.
