SHAHROZE, like Irishcorrespondent, was once in the care of Michael Halford. The four-year-old son of Holy Roman Emperor was twice runner-up at Dundalk from only three starts in Ireland and he was sold to continue his racing career in the USA, where Graham Motion now has him in his barn.

The son of Holy Roman Emperor (Danehill) has since won three times in the USA and Canada, his latest victory being gained in the Grade 3 Singspiel Stakes at Woodbine. This win means that he has become the second stakes winner for his Group 3 winning dam Shareen (Bahri), following on from Shamreen’s success in the Group 2 Blandford Stakes twice. Shamreen is a daughter of Dubawi (Dubai Millennium).
