THE Tattersalls October Yearling Sale came to a close last Saturday with Book 4 taking the turnover for the fortnight to more than 162 million guineas, the seventh consecutive year that the turnover for the sale has set records. Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony was naturally pleased, saying: “The figures are mighty impressive, and the single most important contributory factor to this record-breaking sequence is the professionalism and dedication of the consignors, one and all, who bring yearlings of outstanding quality to the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale every year.
