The judges were Angeline Nicholson (dressage), Richard Tolerton (triangle) and his daughter Margaret Creighton (jumping).

Comber’s Gwen Scott, who has qualified two show jumpers, My Mighty Mouse and My Plan, for the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society’s annual show, narrowly won the four-year-old section with Francis Dunn’s Nigra Flight (65.89 points). The bay gelding was bred in Co Wexford by Des Noctor, who stands his thoroughbred sire Nigrasine at Tara Hill Stud outside Gorey.
