FOLLOWING this week’s Craven Sale at Newmarket, the breeze-up bandwagon rolls into Doncaster next week for the Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale, which has 177 two-year-olds catalogued.

This sale has produced five Royal Ascot winners since 2016 and last year’s delayed sale (July 1st) famously produced Steel Bull, who had won his maiden and the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes before the month was out.

Steel Bull’s vendor, Andrew and Riona Lynch’s Kilbrew Stables, also sold Mystery Smiles at this last last year and that colt went on to finish third in both the Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes and Group 3 Sirenia Stakes.

Shark Two One (winner of the Tattersalls Sales Race at the Curragh) and Umm Kulthum (Group 3 winner and Group 1 third) were other 2020 graduates of note.

This year’s sale will be held over three days with the breeze held at Doncaster Racecourse next Tuesday (April 20th) from noon.

Following feedback after last year’s sale, there will be an inspection day on Wednesday (April 21st) and the sale itself starts at 10am on Thursday (April 22nd).
