A BREEDING right to Time Test, Territories and Cotai Glory will be offered for sale in a timed online auction by Goffs next week. Bidding will open as soon as the final lot in the Goffs February Sale leaves the ring on Thursday evening and bids will close at noon on Friday. Additional entries are being taken and bidders must register in advance through the goffsonline.com site.

Standing at the National Stud in Newmarket, Time Test (by Dubawi) was the leading first season sire by blacktype winners last year. His stud fee is £15,000.

Territories (by Invincible Spirit) stands at Darley’s Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket. Sire of the Group 1 Prix de l’Opera winner Rougir, his covering fee is £10,000. Cotai Glory (by Exceed And Excel) was Europe’s leading first season sire for winners last year. He stands at Tally-Ho Stud and his stud fee is €8,500.

The sale will offer agents commission of 5% of the hammer price of any lots successfully sold to the buying agent. The amount in question will be deducted from the vendor sales proceeds and is covered in the Conditions of Sale that have been specially modified for this sale.

Goffs CEO Henry Beeby said: “We have secured the sale of breeding rights to three very promising young sires which have strong commercial appeal. If breeders wish to discuss adding any additional breeding rights to the sale, we invite them to contact a member of the Goffs team.

“This new departure for Goffs only widens our offering and the introduction of the agents commission, which was successfully introduced for the online London Sale last summer, should also broaden the sales appeal.”
