SIBLINGS to this year’s 1000 and 2000 Guineas winners, Mother Earth and Poetic Flare, headline the 2021 Goffs Orby Sale catalogue.

There are 444 yearlings listed for the sale at Kildare Paddocks on September 28th-29th. This compares with 472 in the sale two years ago when it was most recently staged on home soil.

Sisters to both of this year’s Newmarket classic winners will go under the hammer within three lots of each other. Mother Earth’s half-sister by Sioux Nation is catalogued as Lot 117 and just three lots later is a U S Navy Flag half-sister to Poetic Flare.

The classic pedigrees also include a Kingman filly out of dual Guineas winner Finsceal Beo and a Saxon Warrior half-sister to Prix de Diane winner Channel.

Other Group 1 pages featured are a Galileo filly out of the Grade 1 winning Scat Daddy mare Nickname, a Dark Angel filly who is a full-sister to Group 1 winner Persuasive and a half-sister to this year’s Royal Ascot Jersey Stakes winner Creative Force, and a Sea The Stars half-sister to Hong Kong champion and multiple Group 1 winner Exultant (formerly Irishcorrespondent).

Among the colts with Group 1 pedigrees are a son of Galileo out of dual Group 1 winner Simply Perfect, a son of Kingman out of champion racemare Alexander Goldrun, and a Dark Angel colt out of Group 1 winner Fiesolana.

There’s also an own-brother to multiple Group 1-winning champion Alpha Centauri, a Starspangledbanner half-brother to Group 1 Prix Jean Prat winner Laws Of Indices, and a Saxon Warrior half-brother to 10 winners including Halfway To Heaven.

All lots offered will be eligible for the Goffs Million over seven furlongs at the Curragh in 2022, which is set to be Europe’s richest two-year-old race.

Goffs’ CEO Henry Beeby said: “We are so grateful to those Irish breeders who have entrusted us with such a strong selection of potential classy winners and have worked with them to focus on the individual so that we can recommend every Orby yearling on merit to potential purchasers.”
