LUKE Lillingston’s Mount Coote Stud made its debut at the Premier Sale this week, thanks in part to the urgings of Goffs’ Nick Nugent. The object of his desire to see offered at Doncaster was a daughter of Siyouni who had failed to sell in Kill as a foal.

Retained at Goffs at €80,000 on behalf of her breeders Merriebelle Irish Farm Ltd, the patience of all was rewarded when she sold to Will Douglass from Charlie Gordon-Watson Bloodstock for £250,000. The filly makes a return visit to Ireland to be trained by Paddy Twomey and is the first foal of a winning daughter of Galileo.
