WITH Italian racing still in a state of turmoil, the results of the SGA Yearling Sale last weekend were broadly in line with last year’s figures, showing that there is no increase in demand for horses, in spite of a much larger catalogue being presented.

A Dawn Approach half-brother to Group 3 winners Voice Of Love and Time Chant, the latter who was third in the Italian Derby, sold for €90,000 to top the one-day sale held in Milan. Consigned from breeder Massimo Parri’s farm and sold to Scuderia Incolinx’s Diego Romeo, the colt will be trained in Milan by Niccolo Simondi.
