ONCE again the Newmarket July Sale will require three days, from July 10th to 12th, because the very substantial catalogue published by Tattersalls contains 904 lots, just 14 fewer than last year. The first day’s trade features breeding stock, before the emphasis switches to horses in training and untried lots at the other sessions.

Some substantial drafts are those from Godolphin (31), Shadwell (76), The Castlebridge Consignment (65) and Juddmonte (20). There are also some group and listed winners and placed horses, including Twilight Payment, Barys and Inverleigh.
