A YEARLING half-brother to Group 1 Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes winner Al Riffa heads a quality catalogue for the Goffs February Sale.

The two-day sale takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, February 8th and 9th, and features 487 lots, comprising flat and National Hunt yearlings, breeding stock, two-year-olds and horses in training. Selling will commence at 10am each day.

Pinhookers under both codes will have plenty to choose from with a sire profile that includes Acclamation, Blue Bresil, Blue Point, Crystal Ocean, Dandy Man, Dark Angel, Ghaiyyath, Invincible Spirit, Kodiac, Lope De Vega, Mehmas, New Bay, Night Of Thunder, Saxon Warrior, Sea The Stars, Sioux Nation, Starspangledbanner, Too Darn Hot and Walk In The Park.

A strong list of covering sires features Acclamation, Ardad, Australia, Bated Breath, Blue Point, Churchill, Cotai Glory, Dandy Man, Kodi Bear, Magna Grecia, Showcasing, Sioux Nation, Sottass, Space Blues, Starman, Supremacy and Zoustar.

Among the yearlings on offer are a Lope De Vega filly out of Group 2 winner Poetic Charm, who herself is a half-sister to Teofilo. There’s also a Sea The Stars colt out of Group 3 UAE Oaks winner Polar River, and a Dark Angel colt out of Group 2 Queen Mary winner Maqaasid.

Eyecatching National Hunt yearlings include a Maxios half-brother to Grade 2 hurdle winner Jason The Militant, a Berkshire half-brother to Grade 1 placed and Land Rover Bumper winner Adamantly Chosen, and an Idaho half-brother to Grade 2 Galmoy Hurdle winner Royal Kahala.

The breeding stock section features Promenada, a half-sister to Group 1 winner La Petite Coco, and Love On My Mind, a Galileo mare and dam of the aforementioned Group 1 winner Al Riffa.
