TWO months later than initially scheduled and amidst a period of huge uncertainty, the Goffs Land Rover Sale was finally able to take place this week. It brought some undoubted highs through its opening session but the second day was a far more sobering affair.

The first thoroughbred auction to take place in Ireland since February did so in the most unusual of circumstances and there was a very different feel to the conduct of business, although the ever-present demand for quality still shone through.
