THE fourth and final day of the Tattersalls December Mare Sale was a subdued affair, with just four mares selling for in excess of 30,000gns. However, the top pair of Arabescatta and Excello helped to propel The Castlebridge Consignment to the head of the vendors list, overtaking Godolphin. With 53 lots selling for 4,449,100gns, they short-headed Godolphin’s 59 lots that sold for 4,408,000gns. Juddmonte were the nearest challengers to both with their 49-strong draft realising 3,895,500gns.
