LAST Saturday marked the third year in a row that Gordon Elliott landed the €100,000 BetVictor Dan Moore Chase and happily for each way punters the field size crept up to 10 with the trainer saddling four contestants while the victorious owner, Gigginstown House Stud, supplied five runners.

For such a well endowed prize it was disappointing to see such a relatively small turnout and immediately thoughts were that this could be the product of the unusually dry winter or this race’s position in between Christmas and the Dublin Racing Festival.
