TUESDAY’S card at Fairyhouse provided its share of notable displays courtesy of Honeysuckle, Ronald Pump and Cerberus but also of note was the victory of Solar Heat in the 80-95 rated handicap hurdle.

This was Solar Heat’s seventh career success and her first for Denis Hogan whom she joined after contesting a claiming hurdle at Galway two months ago. The Galway race was the first claiming hurdle to be run in Ireland for 23 years and the winner, Falak, and Solar Heat were both claimed to join new connections with the last-named being picked up for just €4,000.
