Navan March 5th

Zoomcocoon

(P. Nolan)

This Ocovango filly, who is related to the very smart Money Trix, was allowed to go off at 80/1 for her debut last weekend but she belied her position in the market by finishing a creditable fourth to Global Export.

She was never in a position to mount a telling challenge but still shaped nicely and it shouldn’t be long before she is winning races.

All For Rachel

(O. McKiernan)

A half-brother to the very smart Zero Ten, this gelding had struggled to make an impression on his first two outings but he took a significant step in the right direction with a fourth to Ballykeel in a maiden on Sunday.

On this showing there are races to be won with him.

Rightplacerightime

(E. Mullins)

He could only manage sixth in the handicap chase won by Discordantly last Sunday having been sent off the 5/2 favourite but did well to be beaten just under eight lengths after an indifferent round of jumping.

When he puts it all together this gelding can pick up a good prize and he remains a horse of interest for the coming weeks.

Pats Choice

(G. Elliott)

A runner-up in a Down Royal bumper in January, he made a decent start over hurdles when chasing home Brooklynn Glory in a maiden on Monday.

He finished nicely clear of the remainder in being beaten a length and a half into second and he could be the type to enjoy an industrious summer over flights.

Golden Wonder’s

(M. Brassil)

This gelding caught the eye with a second to Rath Gaul Boy in the bumper on Monday where he finished nicely from off the pace over the last couple of furlongs.

After a fall at Limerick over Christmas this represented a very encouraging effort and this six-year-old can be rated a nice prospect.
