THE very useful Joseph O’Brien-trained juvenile Snapraeterea looks to have a potentially lucrative autumn ahead of him as he made it two wins from three starts in the Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Race.

After winning on his debut at Bellewstown before showing up well to take second in a similar event at Killarney, the John Farrell-owned and -bred son of Buratino coped well with by far the slowest ground that he has encountered. In this well-endowed prize which offered just short of €15,000 to the winner, Snapraeterea (5/4) set out to make all the running for Dylan Browne McMonagle. He was given a good test by the favourite Elysium but hard as the latter tried he could simply find no way past the unfaltering O’Brien inmate who carried the day by two and a quarter lengths.
