BRITISH Eventing (BE) is to review its rules on body protectors after it emerged that a rider tragically killed at Nunney Horse Trials last year was wearing a body protector which did not meet British Eventing safety standards.

Jordan McDonald’s death last June, on the same day German rider Benjamin Winter died at an event in Luhmuhlen, Germany, was the subject of a coroner’s inquest which took place in Somerset, England earlier this week.
