BURGHLEY proved yet another good hunting ground, and while it may not have produced an Irish winning rider, it turned out to be an outstanding triumph for the Irish-bred horse. Filling eight of the top 10 placings, the procession was headed by the winner Ringwood Sky Boy (Tim Price), and supported by runner-up Ballaghmor Class (Oliver Townend) and third-placed Swallow Springs (Andrew Nicholson).

Ireland’s Esib Power brilliantly delivered one of only four rounds within the time to fill ninth with the thoroughbred Soladaun, while Ciaran Glynn and the three-day specialist November Night picked up yet another notable placing in 14th. Also clear in the country, Joseph Murphy (Sportsfield Othello) and Michael Ryan (Dunlough Striker) completed in 22nd and 23rd.
