THE Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe may be the focus of international attention tomorrow, but the Super Sunday card at Tipperary is well established as the best mixed card in the country and it will provide a fiendish and varied challenge to Tote customers. With the Pick 6, Placepot and Jackpot being guaranteed for €25,000, €20,000 and €5,000, there is plenty of reason to believe that the rewards for getting it right could well be lucrative.

The Athassel House Stud European Breeders Fund Maiden (2:05) is a tricky opener and taking one newcomer and one with experience may be the best way forward. The pick of the newcomers looks to be the Aidan O’Brien-trained Ivanovich Gorbatov. The son of Montjeu is well bred and has plenty of Group 1 entries, so it wouldn’t surprise to see him make a winning debut. Of those that have run, the Michael Halford-trained Vilman showed plenty when third to Ol’ Man River at the Curragh last time and if he can improve on that, he will be sure to go close.
