ARRIVING in style in a spectacular historic horse-drawn carriage, Dublin Lord Mayor Paul McAuliffe officially opened the 146th Dublin Horse Show on Wednesday – an event worth an incredible €10 million a day to the economy of Dublin and its environs.

Welcoming everyone to the RDS, Mayor McAuliffe outlined that the Show has been taking place since 1864 with the first 15 years taking place on the lawns of Leinster House in Kildare Street before the Show moved to Ballsbridge in the 1880s.
