THE global racing and bloodstock industry is awaiting signs that Sheikh Mohammed remains committed to the sport following a dramatic week for his Godolphin operation.

After 25 years working at the highest level for Sheikh Mohammed, John Ferguson resigned from his position as Godolphin chief executive and racing manager on Tuesday. The announcement came following revelations that relations between Ferguson and Godolphin’s long-standing trainer Saeed bin Suroor had been strained for some time.
