WHEN Millisle started struggling from halfway in last Sunday’s 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, there may have been a slight dampening of Jessica Harrington’s hopes for 2020. However nothing which has happened since has had the same effect and the trainer is surely in a buoyant mood ahead of Albigna’s bid to give her a second win in the Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh today.

It is a peculiar and unfortunate situation that she won’t be able to attend the races today, due to the strictest protocols, but she has witnessed much success from her living room this week with a treble at Naas, a listed race double at Navan and another brace at Gowran Park on Thursday. Most notably, two of last season’s A-class crop of fillies, Silence Please and One Voice, finished first and second in the Salsabil Stakes at Navan, reigniting hopes that these fillies are set for stardom this season.
