2. Capri has Ascot on his agenda

SUNDAY’S Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan is now a qualifying race for the £1 million Weatherbys Hamilton bonus. Last year Stradivarius won the bonus by winning the Yorkshire Cup, Gold Cup At Ascot, Goodwood Cup and the Lonsdale Stakes back at York. Peter Killeen, general manager of Navan, said: “It’s a brilliant concept and the extension of the qualifying races from four to eight has certainly helped Navan in broadening the interest of the race.” The race has attracted Iain Jardine’s Nakeeta but Capri looks the only horse likely to be good enough to bid Ascot success.
