MOST ex-racehorses come from the National Hunt sphere such as Un Atout – one of many geldings competing in these classes who were once trained by Willie Mullins.

His present owner, Alison Clancy, doesn’t jump the now 10-year-old Robin Des Champs gelding, another French-bred, but he is a consistent performer in ‘flat’ classes and, at Tattersalls July Show on Sunday, won the Jenny Banks (ride) and Mary Low (conformation) judged final of the IHWT Thoroughbred Club retrained racehorse show series.
