IRISH agricultural land values dipped by 0.5% in the opening quarter of 2016 according to the latest statistics from the Sherry FitzGerald Land Price Index.

Despite the average price of farmland remaining on par with the 2015 figures at €9,750/acre, it is reported that the wet weather at the beginning of 2016 had a desperate effect on the amount of land arriving on the market, which caused a drop in supply for the first three months of the year.
