IN Part 2 of our chat with well known north County Dublin veterinary surgeon Peadar Ó Scanaill, we hear this week how the profession is changing from a practical as well as an educational point of view.

“Back in Dad’s time, vet students had to travel to the Royal College in the UK to do their exams and it was essentially a British qualification which was recognised here. All that changed in the 1970s, and the vet degree from UCD is widely respected all over the world with graduates being able to work in Australia, New Zealand, and the USA.
