PAST members of the Irish Pony Club joined present athletes from branches all around the country, and their parents, for the IPC black tie ball held in the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny last Saturday night.

The evening started with a drinks’ reception at 7pm with all guests seated an hour later when there was a brief welcome speech from the IPC’s executive chairman, Barbara Micks. Two of the organising committee then gave short addresses; Anne Healy spoke about the work of the Make A Wish foundation, the night’s designated charity, while Declan Murphy thanked all those who sponsored the evening and donated prizes for the raffles. Those who attended had a great night as, according to Declan, the hotel couldn’t have been more accommodating while the band was excellent.
