THE royal four-legged brides saga continues following the news that two of Queen Elizabeth II’s Irish Draught mares were scanned in foal to triple Dublin champion Cappa Cassanova, owned by Jimmy and Edel Quinn.

One of the mares, Mountains Lady, produced a colt foal this year by Goldsmithcountry Oliver and it turns out she was sold last year to the Royal Stud by Paddy Scarry, who stands both her sire Mountain Diamond and Goldsmithcountry Oliver at his Cooloo Stud in Moylough.
