ON a visit home from Spain, regional secretary Dora Beacom was looking tanned and relaxed at the AGM of the Northern Region of Eventing Ireland last Monday week but might have been less so when flying back to husband Nixon and Daisy the dog on Wednesday.

Having compiled a six-page report on the 2016 season in the region for the meeting and attended the function in the La Mon Hotel, Dora had a day’s break before heading down to Tattersalls where planning for the international horse trials is well underway. After that she did the times for round one of the Flexi Eventing at The Meadows on Saturday, went there to get the series started that morning and then judged at the Arena Eventing in Portmore the following day.
