AMONG those disappointed with the cancellation of the small event horse class at this year’s Dublin Horse Show was Sharon Power who has competed in the class for the past four years, first with Stonehavens Master Class and then with SRS Mini Vendi on whom she was fourth in 2016.

Sharon, who works with her father and two brothers in the family’s construction business in Waterford City, decided that this year she would try to get to Dublin through the amateur show jumping route. Her partner has been her six-year-old eventing mare
SBS Freelance who is by the piebald stallion Da Vinci (by The Artist) out of the Fresh Breeze mare Kilmona Mizen and was bred in Aglish by Sharon Hallahan.
