THERE was a reunion of a different kind at Bantry show recently when Kieran Fahey’s Madame Noir met up with her dual All-Ireland champion daughter Queen B. Fahey’s good run continued at the West Cork show as his Madame Noir not only won the broodmare championship there, but also produced this year’s All Ireland three-year-old filly champion.

This was Queen B, now owned by Dermot Gordon for whom she brought off a back-to-back double as the Munther filly also won the equivalent two-year-old title at Kildysart last summer for her Mayo connections. Fahy sold her to the Gordon family and his Kings Master nine-year-old now has a colt foal at foot by the Gortnamona Stud National Hunt sire Craigsteel.
