THERE was a full house at the Irish Shows Association dinner dance, which followed on from the Association’s annual general meeting, held at the Sligo Park Hotel last Saturday. Seated at the same table were Rebecca Monahan, owner of the 2015 Dublin young horse champion Notalot and Valerie Davis, whose father Robert owned this year’s Laidlaw Cup champion Emperors Touch.

Norman Storey, now retired from his Teagasc equine advisor role, and his wife Liz showed their best dance moves around the dancefloor, while David Sheehan was busy mingling at the gathering. The Limerick solicitor, whose legal expertise is invaluable at ISA board meetings, will take over the ISA presidential role next year at the end of Pat Corbet’s two-year-term.
