IN a follow-up to last week’s Eventing Ireland Top 10 feature, Margie McLoone has learned a little bit more about the breeding of Horseware Stellor Rebound (Rocket) on whom Sarah Ennis won a team silver medal at the World Equestrian Games in September.

Bred in north Co Dublin by Rhona Barnwell, the 2004 VDL Arkansas gelding is out of the unregistered thoroughbred mare Teachan who was by the Lord Gayle stallion Parliament. Her own dam was by Le Moss, winner of the stayers’ triple crown of the Gold Cup, Goodwood Cup and Doncaster Cup in both 1979 and 1980.
