ONE very happy and emotional winner at last weekend’s AIRC Festival in Mullingar Equestrian was Millstreet, Co Cork resident Caroline Songhurst Stiles.

Reintroducing her 20-year-old Irish Draught gelding Carriglea Chieftain to competition again after an injury, the pair won The Irish Field Primary Prix Caprilli dressage test on Sunday afternoon. The Darcy Dancer-sired gelding scored 72.61% to win the class, which incorporates jumps into a dressage test. Their nearest challenger scored 67.83%.
