THE Co Limerick Branch of the Irish Pony Club staged a Connolly’s Red Mills eventing qualifier at the Furnell family’s Ballycahane Equestrian in Crecora last Sunday when, once again, it was good to see that the winners came from a wide number of branches.

Honours in the 34-strong Intermediate class went to Godfrey Gibbons who led from start to finish with Marie Dunne’s Connemara gelding Twilight Thunder, a nine-year-old grey by Robe Thunder on whom the East Galway Branch member won an EI90 (P) at Clyda (2) early last month and EI100 (P) at Ballindenisk (2) last year.
