FREDDY Head is looking forward to seeing his top-class filly Polydream return to action in the Prix du Muguet at Saint-Cloud on Wednesday.

The daughter of Oasis Dream has won four of her seven starts to date, including a Group 1 success against the boys in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville last August.

She disappointed on her final start of 2018 in the Prix de la Foret at ParisLongchamp, but Head believes his four-year-old is a stronger filly ahead of her seasonal reappearance in this one-mile Group 2.

Head said: “I’m very happy with her. She seems well and she’s been working pretty well. It’s a good race and she has to give away a lot of weight, so we’ll see.

“I think she has improved physically since last year and we’ll find out whether she can get the mile.”

RIVALS

Polydream faces seven rivals and must concede weight to all bar Simon Crisford’s British raider Ostilio. He won four races during an excellent campaign last season, rounding off his year with a Group 2 success at ParisLongchamp.

Jean-Claude Rouget saddles last year’s Poule d'Essai des Poulains (French 2000 Guineas) hero in Olmedo. He will be expected to strip fitter for his comeback run when fourth over this course and distance at the end of March.

Andre Fabre sends the Godolphin-owned pair of Graphite and Mer Et Nuages, as well as Plumatic.

Tornibush and Geniale complete the line-up.
