LAST Sunday’s Bree Foxhounds card at Monksgrange featured the fourth and final four-year-old auction maiden, a series of races introduced for the first time this year as one of the INHS Committee’s key initiatives for the 2019 spring point-to-point season.

Announced to cater for the least expensive horses within the age division, this quartet of races, which took place at Kirkstown, Durrow, Dromahane and Monksgrange over the last two months, were confined to horses that were bought for €25,000 or less at the five stores sales last summer.
