The Midlands Connemara Pony Breeders Show saw the cream of the country travel to Mullingar EC, and despite torrential rain throughout the day there were emotional scenes when local breeder John Fitzpatrick was awarded the Midlands All-Ireland Broodmare Championship with his own Irishtown Pippin (Linsford Barney - Irishtown Sylvia).
